Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of the NOKNOK platform (Nok Nok Technologies Co., Ltd.). Registering, signing in or using any feature means you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.
2. Services & platform role
The Platform provides listings and matching for long-term, mid-term and (where approved under hotel/B&B registration) daily rentals, plus home-services matching. It is an information and matching service, not a real-estate brokerage; it does not take transaction commissions and does not warrant any rental outcome. The Platform never holds funds, offers no rent loans, and runs no crypto payments.
3. Account & KYC
You must provide truthful, accurate and current information and keep it updated. Features unlock by level: L0 browse; L1 (phone-verified) save, chat, apply; L2 (real-name) sign and pay; L3 (ownership) is an optional trust badge. A verified phone may bind to only one account; accounts are non-transferable and may not be shared.
4. User obligations & prohibited conduct
You must not: post false, duplicate or unauthorised listings; impose discriminatory rental conditions; use unlawful clauses in contracts or copy (e.g., barring the tenant from household registration or from applying for rent subsidies); circumvent verification or review; or harass, defraud or act unlawfully. The Platform may use AI and human review to block violations and take necessary action.
5. Listing rules
Landlords, agents or agencies must have lawful authority and pass review. Minimum lease is generally 30 days; daily rental is allowed only on listings whose owner passed hotel/B&B registration review. Listings not re-confirmed in time are auto-removed (freshness); once successfully rented, a listing is auto-taken-down from search but remains visible on the landlord’s and tenant’s dashboards.
6. Fees & subscriptions
The landlord/agent subscription is NT$199 per account per month (incl. one listing slot; additional listings incur a per-unit fee), with the optional "Gold Exposure" add-on priced separately; actual fees follow platform announcements. Paid services never affect organic search ranking; ad placements are clearly labelled.
7. Payments, deposits & online rent
All payments, deposits and rent are processed by a third-party payment partner or paid straight to the landlord; the Platform never handles the money. Third-party deposit escrow is optional and toggled per listing by the landlord; when off, the parties exchange the deposit directly and the contract states the Platform does not hold it. Online rent payment passes funds straight to the landlord.
8. E-contracts & handover
Parties may sign the lease electronically on the Platform with the same effect as a handwritten signature; contracts are tamper-evidenced with SHA-256 hashes. Move-in and move-out handover of furniture and appliances may be documented with photos/video on the Platform as dispute evidence.
9. Reviews, reports & disputes
A tenant may review each landlord/agent once, after move-out. You may report violations per the rules; disputes are handled under the Platform’s dispute and SLA mechanism, with mediation, arbitration or judicial recourse where necessary. The Platform’s handling does not affect the parties’ statutory rights.
10. Intellectual property
The Platform and its interface, trademarks, content and software are owned by the Company or its licensors. Content you upload remains yours, but you grant the Platform a licence to use, reproduce and display it as necessary to provide the services.
11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Platform does not warrant third-party listing information, user content or transaction outcomes; services are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
12. Changes, suspension & termination
The Platform may modify, suspend or terminate all or part of the services for operational, legal or security reasons. For breaches, the Platform may restrict, suspend or terminate your account; you may also delete your account anytime under "My account".
13. Amendments
These Terms may be amended in response to service or legal changes and announced on the Platform; material changes will be notified by appropriate means, and continued use after announcement constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan); disputes arising from these Terms are subject to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as court of first instance, save where law mandates otherwise.
